This hotel offered fantastic value for money with its comfortable rooms and stunning views of the Dordogne Valley. The attention to detail, from the cozy beds to the extra bed provided, made our stay truly enjoyable. We also loved the incredible view from our room, overlooking the river bridge. The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful, just like in the reviews we read.
Everything was exceptional, nothing to improve on.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Terrasse Castle. The rooms were beautifully decorated; exceptionally clean; the bathroom, though small, very well maintained; the food was truly excellent- delicious, well presented, fresh daily, and all mise en bouche tasty and delicate. You do need a car to see the surroundings. The town does not offer much, but the setting is beautiful, peaceful, and calm. We enjoyed our daily explorations of the neighboring towns. We would return.LBG USA

The hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices for a castle accommodation. The attention to detail is evident throughout the hotel, from the spacious and flamboyant rooms reflecting the owner's enthusiasm, to the wonderful arched salle a manger where breakfast is served. The location of the hotel, overlooking the Dordogne Valley, provides an incredible view that adds to the charm of the stay. The comfortable beds ensure a good night's sleep, and the friendly staff are attentive to all guests' needs.
All was more than satisfactory, leaving us wanting to return.

Overall, excellent stay--gourmet food, wonderful rooms, located convenient to Geoffre de Padirac, Rocamadour, Roche de Aigle and Forêt de Singe; easy parking, too.
The menu was a little difficult for American teenagers as almost everything had foi gras in it. Other than that, it was a great place to stay in that area.

The setting on the Dordogne River was lovely as was the proximity to the Grotte La Cave, Gouffre de Padirac and Rocamadour as well as a host of other fun and interesting sights in the region.
The hotel has paper thin walls and the noise was unbearable. The narrow stairwell made it extremely difficult to carrry luggage up to the second floor and there was no bell hop assistance provided. It is not a suitable hotel for anyone with limited mobility. It is also extremely over-priced and not a value for the money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Dordogne. We were admonished for coming downstairs for breakfast at 10:30 and warned not to come down late again. As well, there literally is no grocery, other visible restaurant or any services at all in Meyronne. The hotel advertizes itself as a castle but the room we had was horrible with ratty army blankets. The internet pictures misrepresent the rooms.

Lovely area with great views of the river. The rooms were excellent, clean, and comfortable. The food was gorgeous and delicious.
Management was unimpressive, particularly with regard to accommodating dietary preferences. The owner was rude and insensitive towards vegetarians, insisting that I try meat and making condescending comments.

The setting was rather good with splendid scenery.
I found the lady manager rather aloof. I did not like the head waiter and his attitude. Restaurant service was on the slow side.

The hotel was very picturesque. The food was exceptional and the service totally top-rate. On top of this, the lady who runs the hotel is such a great host that we are seriously considering returning again.

I recently stayed at La Terrasse for a short getaway and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The room was stylish and spacious, with a great view of the pool and river. It was incredibly quiet and comfortable, making for a peaceful stay. The breakfast in the castle-style room was plentiful and delicious, and the host was very welcoming. The swimming pool was a nice touch, with easy access and a beautiful view. Exploring the castle rooms and enjoying the open-air restaurant on the terrace made it a truly unique stay.
100% Recommend this hotel.

For me, when I first saw the hotel the word hatt came to mind was "paradise" . The actual experience was just as good. This hotel has a wonderful feel to it. The decor is extremely tasteful and in keeping with the centuries old building, Dining on the "terrasse" overlooking the Dordogne is a pure delight, not just for the magnificent view but for wonderful cuisine. We will certainly be returning to this hotel.
